In spite of a strong economy, the geopolitical uncertainty roiled the stock market in May. Only time will tell how these issues are resolved.
The recovery from the fourth quarter market decline has been swift and after four months, 2019 is on strong footing.
Economic activity continued at a strong pace with more job growth, wage gains, low unemployment and low inflation. In spite of these positives, talk of a recession dominates the air waves.
2018 started strong in January but ended with a December marked as the worst December since 1931.
Based on the evidence thus far, we are in the bullish camp at this writing. Only time will tell if the market will push forward and end on a positive note.
